Original Article

An original article is a primary research paper that presents new findings, data, or insights in a particular field of study. It typically follows a structured format, including sections such as introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions. Original articles contribute original research to the scientific literature, often addressing specific research questions or hypotheses through experimentation, observation, or analysis.

Reviews

Reviews should provide comprehensive and critical analysis of a specific topic within the journal's scope. Authors should clearly state the background and aim of the review in the abstract. The main body should thoroughly discuss relevant literature and present new insights or perspectives. Conclusions should summarize the key findings and implications of the review.

Case Reports:

Case reports should present unique or rare cases that contribute to understanding a particular condition or phenomenon. In this section, the authors should provide a concise background and description of the case, including relevant clinical findings and diagnostic procedures. Discussion should contextualize the case within existing literature and discuss its significance. Conclusions should highlight any lessons learned or implications for clinical practice.

Invited Reviews:

Invited reviews are commissioned by the editorial board or guest editors and should focus on emerging topics or areas of interest. Authors should follow the same review guidelines regarding abstract, main body, and conclusions. Invited reviews may have specific instructions or requirements provided by the editorial team, and authors should adhere to these guidelines.

The article submitted to the Journal of Advances in Sciences should consist of this manuscript's requirements:

Title Page:

Choose a concise, informative title that accurately reflects the article's content. Avoid using abbreviations and formulas whenever possible.

Author Names and Affiliations: Indicate the given names and family names of all authors. Check for accurate spelling. Provide the authors' affiliations below their names. Use lower-case superscript letters to indicate affiliations, matched with corresponding letters in the affiliation addresses. Once submitted, the author list cannot be revised, added to, or removed until the manuscript is published. Any alterations to the author list during the review process will prompt the editor to request cancellation of the review and resubmission, ensuring that all authors agree to the arrangement and confirm its alignment with their respective contributions.

Corresponding Author(s): Designate the corresponding author(s) who will handle all correspondence during the peer review and publication process, including post-publication inquiries.

Present Address: If an author has moved since the research was conducted, indicate this with a 'Present address' footnote. Retain the address where the author conducted the research as the main affiliation address.

Abstract

Provide a concise, structured abstract. Clearly state the purpose of the research, the main results, and the major conclusions. Ensure the abstract can stand alone without reference to the main text. Avoid references and define any non-standard or uncommon abbreviations used.

Keywords:

List five keywords after the abstract. Choose keywords that accurately represent the subject matter of the paper. These keywords should allow for the classification of the paper and should not merely duplicate words from the title. Refer to Index Medicus for guidance.

Introduction:

State the objectives of the research and provide sufficient background information. Avoid exhaustive literature reviews or summarizing results.

Methods:

Provide a detailed methodology to enable reproducibility. Include information about reagents, including supplier details when relevant. If methods have been previously published, reference the source and only describe relevant modifications. For epidemiological studies, include details of setting, time, and place.

Results:

Present clear and concise results. Preferentially use tables and figures to illustrate findings.

Discussion:

Discuss the significance of the study results. Avoid extensive citations and discussions of previously published literature. Instead, focus on explaining the implications of the results.

Conclusions:

Summarize the study's main conclusions based on the results obtained. Avoid citing previous studies.

Declarations:

  • Competing Interests: Declare any competing interests or state if none exist.
  • Acknowledgements: Acknowledge individuals who contributed to the research, such as providing language assistance or proofreading.
  • Funding: List funding sources in a standardized format. If no funding was received, state this explicitly: “This study did not receive any specific grant from funding agencies in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.”

References:

List references numerically in the order they appear in the text, using parenthesized consecutive numbers. Follow the provided formats for different types of references, including articles, book chapters, complete books, university sites, and organization sites.
